Saw this at the car show... cool cop car!

    none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
    Its a full, purpose built cop car made by this company called Carbon motors. Its powered by a high output turbo diesel engine. The guy who showed it to me said it's speed was "classified". Anyway, kind of wish they'd make these for civilian use too.

    Looks like it's based on the Chrysler 300 platform. What car show were you at?

    Neat car -- I've always thought that Cops should have a different type of car to drive around... mainly so people always saw them coming... :laugh:

    I saw it at the SF auto show a few months ago and have been following their newsletter. The car is using their own platform, is going to have a 3.0, forced induction diesel engine with 300HP, 460 lbs of torque. The space frame is aluminum, the body panels will be a composite material, and last but not least, the interior in the back is hoseable, which I can imagine why.

    I can't help but think that regular consumers would love to buy these things. But I guess that would be bad because then the cops wouldn't be able to catch them!
