It generally looks like a 3rd gen anyway, except for that weird sheet metal angle behind the rear tires, which i think they did on purpose so the 4th gen had some significant distinct visual difference from the 3rd.

It’s a matter of opinion I can respect that. It’s not that it’s a four cylinder for me I just don’t like the sound of it, same thing when we went from V8 to V6 but I adjusted. Now I have told my age. lol

That problem has already been resolved. I love the 4th gen but I'd much rather have a small seep that amounts to no change in oil level than a transmission that exploded.

I do like the drivability, OR wheels, and the ability to fit larger tires stock.

I was hesitant on getting a 3rd gen but the 2nd gens here have too much rust for me.
My 18 has been good so far.
I like it as much as my 08 and my 12.
    Looks good to boot!
The new gens all get bashed I didn’t like the 2.5 gen until I had one same with my 3rd gen.
Will I get a 4th gen not in the near future but who knows.

Beautiful truck, inferno, cement, and cavalry blue will always be my 3 favorite colors. You're from Vermont I see?

    Thank you!
    Yes I’m in Vermont.
    We rust well!
But the paint holds up at least.

Wasn’t sure about the color at first but love it now!

I get it from a manufacturing perspective, but when you have the 98% of the same frame, engine (2.4L turbo) and components from $30,000 (SR taco) up to $100,000 (Land Cruiser) how do you convince buyers they're actually getting $70,000 extra of stuff?

Obviously you would put TRD stickers on it somewhere and that's good for another $5000. But we still have to come up with 65,000 of Things.

really 35’s the offset has changed on them right?
My neighbor used a set from his 3rd gen that had a small poke and his 24 has a lot of poke.

Yea that is an improvement, but you have to worry about the transmission after about six feet.

That is funny! I could pay cash for one, but will be keeping my 2022 DCLB because that is what I want to do. It isn't about poors, it is about needs and is the increased price worth it. Obviously a lot of people don't think so.

More 3.5s have exploded than 4th gen transmissions.

It has a lot of potential once they sort everything out.

First of all I’m comparing a 15 year old 2010 OR 4.0 to a 4 gen sport. My brother in law bought one and I drove it for about 30 total miles. I do like the power of the turbo right from a stop. The braking is much more touchy. I love the large display and camera setup.

I’m just waiting a few years for the bugs to be worked out and come to grips with the price increase. I also need to accept the lower reliability of a turboed engine. High price with high interest rates just makes it a “NO” right now. I have $40K plus a what I can get out of my 2010. I was hoping to cash one out.
