I'd start by crawling under the truck and finding the biggest, baddest bolts you can reach.

On a more serious note, what led you to a pneumatic instead of a cordless? Did you already have a high volume compressor, or was there something else that led you that direction? I've had both over the years and absolutely love my Milwaukee cordless impacts, although both have their place.

Two reasons. I hate cordless recherchable battery anything.

Also, I have three compressors, one I just put in the Tacoma. I looked online and really wanted something made in the US. Really I hate all the overseas China and Mexican and anything else made bullshit. I’ve bought a Rolair home compressor and just installed an Extreme Aire in the Tacoma.

Fair enough. When (if) you wear out that snap-on, you can always pull it apart and rebuild it as well. I ended up using cordless a lot. Primarily because in my line of work, I would use them in locations where a compressor wasn't a viable option. I can understand your sentiment, and historically cordless has been shit due to battery constraints. They've also come a very long ways in recent years. Just some food for thought if you ever find yourself needing one.

Understood, I know cordless is all the rage. Honestly I don’t have cordless anything not drills, cut off tools, etc.

I’ll never ever buy another battery pack, too expensive.

Edit, interestingly enough I went to UofA and lived in Tucson for 9 years in the 1990s. My brother and I restored a Chevy C10, sweetest thing I’ve ever seen

That C10 is a beauty. A friend's dad had one growing up and I've always been fond of them.

I actually moved to Tucson last year, Although we'll only be here through next July. The wife is active duty and we tend to move every 2. It's a cool town and i've enjoyed it so far. There is a lot to do if you're willing to get outdoors. It can be a tad rough in the middle of summer though haha. Did you end up getting tired of the heat?

Yeah, it was 1998 middle of July and I packed it up and moved to California for 8 years. And since I’ve moved East after 6 years in Boulder CO.

Tucson I will always love, but couldn’t do one more summer after that. Everyone says it’s a dry heat but after months and months of 110F it bakes your brain.

I can't blame you. As fun as the desert can be, I'll be ready for some greener pastures. We have some friends who plan on coming back here when they retire... :goingcrazy:

This thing is awesome, two of my compressors won’t keep up.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Those impacts are certainly air hogs. As others have said, they can be rebuilt easily. New vanes, bearings, o rings, a bit of grease on the hammers and you are all set.

It's usually a good strategy to start with the interest payments

I’ve seen the rebuild kits. I specifically bought a high volume air compressor for that reason. The air tank is only a 2 gallon which was the largest I could fit under the bed.
