I’ve thought about making the same trade. Enjoy your new truck!

Man, that's fantastic to hear how many miles on it and how well it drove despite the amount of miles. I look forward for my 5.7 to treat me as well as your 5.7 did for you. May I ask why you ended up having to get rid of it?

If you were to do it, the best time is now IMO, if you're looking for a 5.7 with low miles. That's one of the reasons I went through with doing trade for a 5.7 now rather than later. The 2021 was the last year of the solid V8s. If I wait 5-10 years to get this generation Tundra, they may have well over 100K miles and my Tacoma will have continued to further depreciate as I continue to rack more miles on it so it made more sense in my scenario to trade it in now while the Tundra and Tacoma miles are low for the best value.

If you don't mind purchasing a Tundra with 100K+ miles in the future, then you probably could wait on it some more until you feel that you're ready!

I’ve owned a 2021 tundra trd off road limited in cavalry blue I wanted to love that truck and have it be my forever truck but unfortunately it had some short comings I didn’t not expect
    The pros
The 5.7 with the trd pro exhaust which I had was amazing, awesome road trip car, I liked the real(er) leather than the softtext in my 4Runner and the seat itself was very comfortable
It’s basically a giant Tacoma without the off road goodies even though I had a trd off road package also the payload was less than my regular cab 4 cylinder 4x4 Tacoma!

the back seat area is too huge and they wasted that space imo with the design they could have made it way more modular for storage but they blew it so you can’t really use it too much

the bed is metal which I liked but no 12v or 110 outlet like the Tacoma, I really loved the design

like I said freeway driving was amazing city parking sucked and you will get door dings no matter what just because you’re so wide and u turns suck

basically it’s a large Tacoma good for Home Depot runs but not a real construction man’s truck (all my my neighbors loved my truck and all are in construction and have 2500s one did have a tundra for his personal daily) it’s good for a family hauler if y’all are 6 feet and taller the back seats are a million times bigger and better than the Tacoma

resell actually sucks or the Tacoma is just that great, get the same year and same mile taco and tundra and the taco will sell for 10k more (similarly specd)

lts a very reliable truck obviously if not the most reliable full size but it does have short comings. if they shrank the back seat area and made it a six foot bed instead of 5.5 I probably would have kept it, yes I know they make a 6 foot version but the slant on the back door on that one doesn’t look as good as the double cab

    Thank you!
Thanks, it's not too late to consider! I got lucky finding one with low miles.

Oh yeah it's insane. It feels like a hotel back there compared to the Tacoma. Having a tall family, it definitely helps compared to the Tacoma. We would always have to have seats set all the way to the rear, thus leaving no leg room for anyone to sit in the back. It was awful. With the Tundra, we have no need to set the seats as far back, and there is still a substantial amount of leg room in the rear. It's wonderful!

Even with the Tacoma gone, we're not missing out too much because the wife has a 4Runner in case we needed something smaller to drive through areas where the Tundra would struggle.

That was a good looking Tacoma you had. But you have a good looking Tundra and 4Runner. The dream would be to keep all three.
