Biggest differentiators between the SG and the UG, that I am aware of:

    • Display size - UG is larger and shows 6 readings, SG is smaller and shows 4, Which wins is up to you, I prefer the SG due to it's smaller form factor, but UG is "prettier"
    • Cable - SG plugs into the unit on the side or back, UG is hard wired to the unit. Hard wired tends to limit where you want to install it and it you want to move it between vehicles
    • "Control" button - UG is on back, SG controls are all on the front, for UG this can also limit where you want to install it
    • X-gauges - SG only, can add gauges from SG or the net as they are identified. Without Xgauges, SG would not monitor tranny temps or MAF sensor
    • Cost - UG wins hands down, I think it's like $150 vs. $75
