I have been looking around online to try and figure out how to program my scangauge 2 to show oil pressure as one of the 4 displayed monitored values.

Does anyone have their scangauge setup to do this? Is this even possible with a 3rz 2000 OBDII Tacoma?

After looking around on that part of the website, it seems that the 96-02 Toyota's use the ISO OBD protocol which does not provide oil pressure data.

I figured that since there is an oil pressure sensor in the engine, that I would be able to read information from it via my scangauge. If I were to guess, the sensor is designed to do just that: "sense". Not read numerical oil pressure values.

Other people have done DIY installs of oil pressure senders in their engines, so I guess that would be the way to go if I wanted to get an oil pressure readout.

3rzs just have an oil pressure switch no actual sensor.
