seems like the OBDII / Torque thing would kill your battery, and messing around with it, the GPS or Pandora on the phone would be a huge distraction

I also think that the UltraGauge seems like a good buy at $59, but it doesnt look as good as the SG

The Android/iPhone apps are sweet for checking codes.

But not really feasible as a permanent install to monitor gauges, which is why I bought the SG.

I have mine set to display, Coolant Temp, MPG, RPMS, and HPR (Horsepower i think? lol)

I know you can do, Voltage, Air Intake Temp, LOD (%Load on the Engine), GPH (Gallons Per Hour), Speed.

and well i don't know what else, i forgot. Anyways X-Gauges don't seem to work well for me :(

Oh and as far as mounting it, it hides away great in the cubby where the parking brake would be for manual transmissions.

So I was messing around with my scangaugeII and switched over to the HPR gauge (HPR=BHP engine "calculated" horsepower for those who are new to scangauge). On 3 attempts @ about 5K RPM in 3rd gear the gauge peaked at 281-285. Thought the reading was a bit high.

The truck is a 2011 4.0 with a Magnaflow bolt on catback. I'm running 98RON fuel (in Germany) I believe its equivalent to somewhere between 93-95 octane. Also 5w30 Mobile 1 full synthetic oil. Other than that the truck is 100% stock as far as anything that could effect engine performance.

So scangauge is calculating my truck is producing 49hp over the stock 236 w/ only a catback and some awesome German gas? I find it hard to believe, but who knows! Wanted to see what other peoples results were with the HPR gauge and its accuracy?

Damn these things look sweet. I may have to pick one up when I get my truck.

Maybe you're not the only one, I've noticed that when accelerating hard from a stop Between 3-4K RPM it's already telling me 100+HP. I don't remember if I was using premium at the time and the only mod I've done is swap my OEM muffler for a Aero Turbine one.
