Thanks OP for the info! Just snagged one off eBay. Pretty stoked.

I love my scanguage and have always wanted it mounted overhead somehow but I have the little bracket/mod that raises your mirror up, removing all available space above it. This is a perfect solution, and clean looking.

Just arrived. Will try to fill/sand a little tomorrow then get it installed over the weekend. I found the same Satin Granite paint to use as OP had. I'll be back with more pics. Ebay seller is a nice dude that keeps you informed; "printing the piece now, gluing today, shipping tomorrow." I placed the order on the holiday weekend as well and he got it out first thing on Tuesday.

Got any pointers on the sanding and finishing part? I was going to use the Bondo Putty I had, certain grit you finish with or anything?

It was really simple. I way over tonight about it. I used spot putty. Its really easy to work with and it sands fast and easy. You can put multiple layers in as you want. Primer fills in a lot of holes. I did like 6 coats and sanded alot. I only used 100 grit and 300 for the final coats.IMG_20190906_020344.jpg

Well the overhead consoles are NOT the same. Apparently it slightly changes when you have the Audio/Entertainment package with the microphone in the console.

Toyota decided for whatever reason to make the console just slightly different. As you can see where the new thumb screws go in on yours, part of the console has indented spots for the screws closer to the middle. I do not have those 2 spots on either side.

That being said I am hoping to figure out a solution as it still fits just needs to be secured differently.20190906_100932.jpg 20190906_100926.jpg

The 2 screws should be fine, mine fits in pretty snug as it is and the middle one would be doing most of the supporting anyways

Thanks for getting this made! I'll definitely be picking one up. Since I can't get a meso overhead switch panel, this is the next best thing!

I'm on the same boat as you. The Scangauge Mount would need to be modified in order to clear the gear and the latch area. The seller was willing for me to send my console to see if what he had in stock would fit. I will be contacting him to see if he can build a different one that will allow it to be fastened using the 4 points of attachment. I will keep you posted.

I finished my install, took a little longer than expected. The threading on the 3D printed piece, for the thumb screws, is the same threading for electrician screws, the ones you use to screw outlets into boxes. They sell a little various size kit at Home Depot.

So what I did is cut a BIC Pen tube down to (2) 7/8" long pieces and used them as backing/support for the longer screws to reach the 3D printed piece. I still used the supplied thumb screws for the front of the piece where it fits normally into the pocket...Worked great, wouldnt say it was an ideal install but I dig it. I suck at finishing/sanding so I might give that a shot again when I feel like taking it a part. Good luck!

Great New....I've made contact with Benjamin and he has provide pricing and confirmed shipping to Canada. Great Service...Must be my lucky day because I've found the paint to match as well. Should I push my luck and buy a lottery ticket?
