This is for all the SCANGAUGEII users.

Has anyone else had experienced a problem between the ScangaugeII and the Ignition fuse?

My self, twice and I think I have found how to trigger it. (I will not do it again)

Well these are the facts; once you turn off the engine the Scangauge will be on for several seconds and the turns off completely, but if you like to verify any gauge or trip values for several seconds (how much? I do not know) before it turns off start pushing the proper buttons to get your data or follow the complete "FILL-UP" procedure, then start your engine and try to shift... there is no way to do it. PROBLEM: The ignition fuse has been blown.

With some experience in this (twice) it took me like 10 minutes to change it, but if there is no prior info or experience this means that you will need to be towed.

Remember there are two spare fuses that can be used under the hood fuse panel. To replace the damaged fuse you will need to remove the panel under the staring wheel it is located at the middle of the secondary fuse panel.

I hope this can be taken as a reference for any future incident.

I've never heard of anyone having this happen before.

I've been using my scanguage II since March and often (almost daily) check my trip data with the truck off. I also do the fill up procedure with the engine off before I leave the pump every time and havn't had any problems. The OBD port is always live and the scanguage draws what little power it needs from the port.

I'd get in touch with the people at Scanguage and let them know what happened.
