    Hey guys,

Just an FYI for anyone in the Gold Butte, NV area. This past Saturday, myself and two friends tried to make our way down Scanlon Dugway to hit the Colorado River.

About 500ft in, we rolled a smaller rock to the side, to pass. Another couple hundred feet there is a bigger rock on the left that makes you ride a bit close to the edge. Then about 1000ft in, we were met with a rock the size of a smaller refrigerator in the middle of the road. With no winch and a very loose downgrade, we spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to turn around. Two attempts, two spotters, 8 point turn, we flipped a bitch on the cliff and drove out.

I would not recommend starting to venture down the road as there is ONLY ONE spot to turn around. It was pretty stressful as the chances of trying to reverse a 1/4 mile out, one truck at a time, was almost not an option.

If you are ok with running over a tree and riding the very edge of the cliff, it "might" be passable. Not even sure it was wide enough for a Tacoma. Best to not start down the road.

Sadly we were so disappointed that we couldn't make it to the river, we did not take any pictures.

    Pin where the rock was:
