i'm going. i'll prolly take a half day off work that day. need to get an idea of who all is gonna convoy and what time you guys wanna leave. eddy, i think a good spot to meet up could be around hendersonville. we could all (southeast guys) meet there and convoy in together

 

what do you guys think of this... any better way to organize it all?

That's works for me. If me and cam meet up at my job we are close to 25 and will just take that up toward Asheville and could meet wherever is convenient.

 

Or hell you and cam could come up from Clemson. Meet me in easley/ powdersville. I work at the Spinx store and can get the hook up on ice. And we all could ride out toward I40.

 

hopefully i can snag a yeti before the trip.. my wheels need to sell first though..

a cooler that's bear proof and will hold food/ice for 5 days... Idk dude you tell me haha

 

if a bear gets my cooler .. I have more problems that a busted cooler..

Look into K2 coolers! Probably going to get one of their smaller one for a copilot on trips so I don't have to get out and dig into the big cooler all the time

 

Okay so I could justify buying a k2. They are half the price and probably do the same thing!!! My biggest grip about yetis is the inside size. And I realize it what keeps it best proof and hold ice longer. But when a cooler the size of my igloo will only hold a 12 pack it's useless to me. Just my .02.

 

I was planning on getting a 65 qt for the long trips and a smaller non-yeti cooler for the 1-2 day trips.

Youd be surprised. Granted mine is rather large and I too was skeptical as to what it would honestly hold but I can put in 5 12 packs plus 40# of ice and still had room for the basket and more stuff, Cam can attest to that from one of the Sesqi meets! my only gripe to larger coolers and the reason mine stays tied down and locked is the weight once its fully loaded

 

So, is this a pre runner friendly trip? Overnite camping?
What's the date, seems I missed it.

 

My roadie holds an 18 packs and plenty of ice. That's a 20 qt cooler
