    Hey 3mile,
    If I were you, I'd get a '96+ Tacoma to build for a trail rig. You can get them with the 2.7 and they have the coil/strut set-up similar to late model trucks. My '89 does fine but it is a torsion bar suspension.

    No. The R and the RE is the same motor, but the RE is fuel injected and the R is carbureted. The RE came later than the R and I know they made it till '89 cause I've got one.

    Firestone did the first one with no issues but, would install aftermarket brake lines. After boogyman's meet my steering wheel was sitting a little sideways so I took it to Gerald's on Dorchester

    Yup. A little water on the lens then lay it on as tight as possible and use a hair dryer to make the vinyl conform and then squeegee the water out
