    haha yep! thats the dream place! i came close to having my chance last year (not to Marianas, but still deep as hell) but had to be on this damn boat when they shipped out to do the surveys. i was pretty bummed. we actually havent caught any lionfish on our trawls but they are patrolling the reefs around here. if you see one, kill it on sight/site. just dont get stabbed. hurts like a bitch. we do catch scorpionfish every once in a while though! theyre pretty sweet looking. up in Murrells inlet they have a lionfish derby every year to try and put a damper on the population but theres no stopping them at this point. now its just do as much damage control as you can. it doesnt hurt that they taste like the sweetest grouper youve ever had! they probably are the tastiest fish ive eaten yet, and ive eaten a ton of different fishes.
