    Nope, ive been doing the ROTC program here so once I graduate im automatically a 2nd LT. I have to go to MPBOLC (Miltary police BOLC) school to learn my speciality but besides that im a bonafide Officer.

    @ChamYota unfortunatly, it was in the mid 90's- O-3/4 were forced to early retirement. Combat Engineer officer school did not start for another 27 months (also due to cut backs), no 0-1 commissions untill after you start the Engineer (or whatever) program. Was a second semester Junior, in ROTC, not contracted.
