    Sitting here at the dealership getting a couple of recall/service bulletins done that I scheduled two (2) full weeks ago and 2 hours into it, they tell me they don't have the part in stock. Seriously? I assume they got the whole exhaust pulled apart only to find that they didn't have anything to replace it with. Otherwise the rest of the work wouldn't have taken 30 minutes.

    Seems about right. I had the same problem a few years ago when I had the clock spring replaced. Made an appointment for a certain day to have the work done (dealership is 30-45 minutes from me), Took the truck in, and waited.....and waited....and waited. Service manager comes out to tell me that they didn't have the parts for replacement an I would have to come back.

    NO WAY, I said. I had to take time off work to get this done. After a verbal sparing match they let me take a loner home, I think it was a 2012.

    It gets a little better...when they called me, two days later, to tell me it was ready, they asked if I wanted the cabin air filter replaced. Said it would cost something like $40 or $60 for them to do. I told them no (something I can do for the cost of the filter). Well, I went to pick the truck up and they handed me a bill..........for the cabin air filter. You can imagine my response. I politely declined to pay said bill, and had another discussion with the service manager.

    @Matic lives near this dealership.

    yea they were "politely" informed that I was extremely perturbed at this little fuck up. when I walked in to drop it off they asked if I wanted any scheduled maint done and I just laughed and said I don't let the dealership do anything that's not under warranty. luckily they didn't just go ahead and do it anyways. the guy waiting beside me had just bought a 2016 that didn't come with mudflaps and they wanted $100 for them... I told him they were high and he probably should just go elsewhere. he was on the same page as me when the guy came up to him and said his diagnostic charge alone would be $350. he looked at him and just said "ill take the keys back now" haha.
