I like flat black for off road fun but wanting the trd bead locks for her daily fun.. Gonna get some stock steelies and paint those black for rough and tough trips but the wheeling I do a prerunner could do.. I'm more into camping now than tearing things up I know.. I'm no fun lol

What's the easiest way to check your lower control arms to see if they are bad ? I jacked the front end up & I have no play in the tire but on bumpy roads I have a real noticeable clunk on the front passenger side. It could possibly be a worn out shock because they have over 100k miles on them.

HArd to tell. Could be lower control arm bushings, outer tie rods maybe worn. And as you said. Shocks maybe.
Doesnt sound like wheel bearings if you shook the wheel pretty hard.

Cleaned up and waxed. Partially detailed.
Least I could do for it after putting it thru the trauma of the stealership.
I should probably blame @Sctacoma4x4. If he hadnt noticed my wheel wobbling, I'd still have a pocket full of cash. Thanks Jeff!!

I have jacked it up & there is no play in the front end that I can tell , everything seems tight. I even stuck a gopro underneath the truck & moved it back & forth & can't see any play in the tire. It sounds like a worn shock bottoming out when your going down bumpy roads but if you push down on the suspension sitting in the driveway the shock seems fine.

Had those on the FJ and really liked them. Center caps are ridiculously large and stick way out. Very ugly IMO and I never mounted them.

@scottalot you ever install your spacers? Curious if you get rubbing on stock tires due to increased scrub radius?

I went with these for the Tacoma. Only thing about these is water and mud get trapped on the lip behind the rock ring. Not a big deal but still worth mentioning.
