I was almost in trouble. It took several tries to get out (stupid red clay). I almost had an oh s%@t moment.
Because I went to look at this:

Will do! Not 100% sure I needed them but they were cheap insurance.

 

This is the lake lot. The trail/road down to it is steeper than it seems. I was just about stuck/SOL because cell service sucks. These pics are from the summer after a storm, just for perspective.

I almost bought one the other day. Now I might just do it.

I was stuck. Couldn't get traction on the clay. I managed to "walk" over into some bushes and under brush to drive out. It is pouring rain here right now.

My truck has pulled both of my brother in laws and my father in laws truck out of here. I WAS NOT going to call them for help. Haha. I managed to drive out, just had to work and think a minute.

This is crazy high. We have a set of steps cut into the bank and they are completely covered. I have never seen it this high.

 

Oh I would never do that...guess I should have used the sarcasm font.

Also we'll be in Pawley's next weekend, could you do a dance or something just before then so that rain goes away? We usually end up spending most of our time at the inlet eating oysters and drinking beer.
