I believe the initial thought was to transfer thread ownership to somebody who was active so that the first post could be changed with updated info/pics.

Not sure if that was a possibility so a new thread popped up.

    With that being said...

So the "put the truck in 4wd trick" worked, to keep front wheel from spinning. checked torques on the spacer nuts last night, all good, no budgey.

@scottalot should rename the other thread "South Carolina W.S Thread" if we're going to keep both threads going.

Morning, guys. Fellow Tacoma owner from Maine looking for a little advice.

My girlfriend and I are taking my truck/RTT down to Florida over spring break in a few weeks. We plan to spend most of our time exploring between FL and ME. We've been hoping to find some cool places to camp in NC/SC. Hills/mountainous regions are good, we do a lot of hiking. We'd also really like to camp out on some beaches. Is that cool to do? Vehicles of any kind on beaches in the NE is :bananadead:.

Can you guys think of any good beaches or other spots to camp out? Or other cool things to see/do in the region.

    Thanks!

are you going to be trying to hike around in the mountains or are you trying to do a coastal exploration type of trip? North Carolina is the best for beach driving/camping. there aren't many (if any) places to drive on the beach in SC. I could be wrong, but I haven't been on any. the upstate is littered with amazing trails to hike and camp. we try and get to the upstate (Pisgah National Forest, Smokey Mountains National Forest, and the Chattahoochee national forest). if you do the upstate, the guys in here are great for fun little spots that are off the beaten path.
