    Original plan was to put one on my truck and one on my brother's 4runner but at the time didn't have the means to properly mod his frame horns...so we sold it off and split the profit

    At the time there were very few local fab guys doing tacoma work...especially work that I liked...the only other bumper I wanted was a Badlands and it was gonna cost me at least double that with shipping etc

    ARB made sense...plus I don't care too much for full tube bumpers and that's the normal thing for most fab places

    I just don't like the look...plus again, I like the crumple zones...

    I read once, long ago on TTORA, about a guy who had custom bumpers and was involved in a collision...because there was no crumple zone, all the energy transfer went to the frame and bent it...My truck is 12 years old...I'd love to have a new truck but I'm not interested in HAVING to have a new truck...especially when I can't really afford having payments right now

    There's not much crumple zones on first gens. I mean cmon, you switched bumpers. You know what's underneath.

    and the ARB has a pretty substantial crush mount designed
