Okay that makes more sense. I liked the idea of it locking under hard acceleration. Is an Aussie locker not a lunch box locker?

I've been in situations where a locker helps in my old truck it's just the types of lockers I'm lost on.

That video changed my mind. I need a locker. That's was almost catastrophic. What about an e locker for my 8.4 diff?

 

Thats alot of work. Finding one used, swapping it out, running electronics.
Buy a powertrax no slip. Save your side gears, spider gears.
Use it for your trip. Uninstall and sell it for $50 less. Install your old shit back in. Done deal.

I run mine all year round. Granted, not the best in snow and ice but it has gotten me out of some situations in the snow that open diffs would have never even came close and left me stuck on the side of the road.
You have to "re learn" how to drive in the snow with a full time locker.

 

What about my long trip being fully locked. Will it mess with my milage or screwing anything up

Nope. As ive said. I run full time locked year around. No noises, no tire wear, you wont even know its there. Its very street freindly. No ratcheting, no pops.
Every once in a blue moon there is a "pop". Thats the springs unloading.
Ive heard it maybe 3 times in the couple years I have been running mine.

 

I run home to northern indiana about 3 times per year. Sometimes more.
Thats 1200 miles round trip.

 

What brand do you have

 

All 4 wheels locked. BALLS TO THE WALL!!
