    Fun fact for you guys; red meats, such as beef, are composed of quite a bit of water. This water, mixed with a protein called myoglobin, ends up comprising most of that red liquid. I've confirmed with a chef friend. He's actually the one who told me this lol the blood is removed at slaughter and only small amounts remain in muscle tissue
