only issue is that im running 265/70/17s and with the 885's do you think that would look funny and i would need to upsize my tires? and i think the 886's would be too much lift for me... i just want everything to be a little higher, ride well, and look proportional

886's are the same size as the 885's. So it provides the same amount of lift. The spring compression is what makes the difference in the coils. Depending on which spring you choose and how much weight is on the front determines how much the spring compresses down and settles.

Basically a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo as Cam said and 9 times out of 10...Most officers won't even give you a second look...HOWEVER I could pretty easily articulate a case and probably win (depending on the judge of course)...The likelihood of me making that case? slim to none

Here is what mine looked like with 265/70/17 before and after I got my full OME lift with 885s, trim packer, PLUS 1/4 top spacers on each side and Dakar pack...LR UCAs too.

Before: Stock (no lift) with 265/70/17:

okay so its done. just ordered the 900021 shocks for a smoother ride (drive on the highway every day) also got the 885's since they will probably settle and sag down the road with the AAL as well. And rear shocks. OY $700 later... Not terrible..

I opted out since I work at Firestone and could possibly use the coil tamer, also have my master mechanic helping me install

Exactly what I am going to do when I take the 885s off and put on the 886s. If I knew it were that easy I wouldn't have paid for assembly. I saw this video after I installed the lift already. lol

Is the front top spacer something that is a necessity w/ the old man lifts? Like toytec says to get it using the 884/885 coils to get the full 3" lift, but if you're running 9000s and 885s, isn't that the same lift as running 9000s and 886s?

top plates are basically the way to dial in an ome since its not adjustable. 884s give about 2 1/2 inches lift on a access or double cab but they give a regular cab with a 4cyl almost 3 inches.

I've got 884s and top plates on. Got some 885s and I'm going to pull the top plates when I put them on. Lift should stay about the same.

Doin work. My father in law didn't think I could pull this out. He has a Chevy 2500 2wd, and can't get this off the bottom of the driveway of the lot he is building on. The drive is rutted out, up hill.

I told him I could do it, and he didn't believe.

4 Hi, no problem. Over 2 ton of weight. Case 1840 skid steer on a 16ft trailer.

I told him I would see him at the top!

Now it's at my house. Truck did well pulling 45 mph down the road.
