Do it, then try and diagnose a death wobble for the next 10 years ... Damn jeeps, glad we got rid of ours, then re bought one to use as a cow runner, cheaper than buying a 4 wheeler every 2-3 years

People miss the point of Toyota 4x4s. It's a daily driver first and a 4x4 second. Very good on road performance and while capable offroad it is it's secondary roll.

Jeeps are the opposite (even $45k Rubicon Unlimiteds), IT's primarily an offroader that is also capable onroad. They are a daily driver as a secondary function.

You have to decide which is more important to you. Onroad or offroad performance.

I had a Grand Cherokee 4x4 for a very short period of time. Even though it was my secondary vehicle it still SUCKED. Constantly something wrong with it and it rode like a 1 ton truck. When I test drove my Tacoma it was like being in a Cadillac compared to the Jeep.

For someone like me that puts 200k miles on a truck and occasionally likes to trail ride or hit an obstacle or two the Toyotas are perfect.

If you wanna crawl big rocks and do crazy offroad shit, while not being terribly concerned with onroad performance, than a Jeep is for you.

I know two things about Jeeps:
I wouldn't drive one somewhere multiple hours away to offroad without a lot of spares and tools (and a CC with a lot of available limit)
    and
You're going to spend a lot more time fixing shit on them than a Toyota. If you're not good with a wrench and knowledgeable about vehicle diagnostics and repair, you're going to have a hard road ahead of you.

I maintain my previous statement. TO me the perfect combination is a Tacoma to DD and trail ride and a Cherokee or similar (hell even a quad or SXS) to do crazy shit with.

Thant's my 2cents, and it's worth exactly what you paid for it.

    Public Service Announcement:

PLEASE, for the love of God, get a functioning CB Radio prior to trailrides. It would make life SOooooo much easier, and considering the price of other mods we do, they are CHEAP.

    Look at build!
Buy the parts and theres a guy in Concord, NC who will do it for $100 if you take him the 3rd. Im taking mine to a guy in Greenville named Jonathan that has a ZJ mainly cause I always end up riding with him at Gulches and hes a pretty cool dude and he has all the specific tools to do it, I know how to install them just don't have the space for a press and don't want to buy all the stuff atm. Jonathan is doing it for $150
