Hey SC guys, I also posted this in the fishing thread forum, but thought maybe some of you that fish could maybe help me out.
My wife and I are going to Myrtle Beach again in mid-September. Since she loves to spend all day on the beach, I thought I'd use most of my free time fishing this time instead of my usual golfing. I don't care too much for saltwater fishing, but is there any good inland lakes or ponds for largemouth that anyone knows of?
I do know that every time in the past when I have golfed there, I wished I'd snuck a rod inside my golf bag for the ponds and lakes on the courses

 

Not a whole lot honestly. I fly fish in charleston with my 4wt for blue gill and saltwater with an 8wt. I gave up good freshwater fishing when Moved here. I miss catching brownies and rainbows

I have done my fair share of wiring all kinds of stuff but never owned a CB. Not sure what all I would need besides the antenna and cb itself. I am sure there is more required like for tuning and such. Anyone?

I have an antenna analyzer. I can put your antenna dead on SWR if you want to do one right. Otherwise, it's tuning by an SWR meter which doesn't measure reactance. You may have low SWR, but a non resonant antenna and you might as well drag your coax behind the rig... Either way, tuning it isn't hard if you have something halfway decent to use. The meters in the radio do not count.


Maybe a mod day soon? Antennas are easy.

 

Need the radio itself, antenna, mount, spring is a good idea, cable and the cigarette lighter adapter if you're not gonna hard wire it.

 

I would thing hard wire would be the way to go right?
