Probably a coyote

 

Coyotes are very common around here. Possum and raccoon are too. I've heard of black bear in myrtle beach and even around here. Not sure about Edisto. Pistols belong on your hip. If you need a holster I'm thinking about getting back into the kydex business, so let me know

 

I work on patriots point occasionally and there's been plenty of coyote sightings on the beach and even in the parking lot

 

Coyotes here are big too. I think there has been some interbreeding with feral dogs

 

My family has land up near darlington/Florence area and my grandfather always tells me we have a hybrid wolf and coyote population there. You'll hear gun shots from the other farms at night from farmers killing coyotes to protect there livestock. The owner of the farm beside us showed me his AR with night optics that he keeps at his back door just to kill coyotes with.

 

Y'all need help shooting the little bastards. I've got a pvs-7 and an AR with an IR laser and Red Dot (M.A.R.S) and a suppressor

We should get a nice little group together and just post out at the edge of our pasture and kill all of them. You can kill a nice size pack of 7 or 8 in a night. There not skiddish towards gunshots so you can kill one and if there's another beside him he won't run
