Anyone on to discuss alignment with? Im concerned the local 4x4 shop is trying to f me.

 

How are they trying to f you? Stock alignment is what you need.

Truck looks good, I have the same rims. I need to go get those same size tires.

 

So I put lr uca on her but set them at -2 caster. (Not knowing what was what and knowing it didn't matter because I was taking it in) anyway I was smart enough to place marks on all the cams before the lift. Long story short is i asked for close to 0 camber 0 toe and 2+ camber.. noticed that the shop a local 4x4 specialist made no UCA adjustments and only 2 adjustments on the interna passenger Side LCA cam. My question is... Is it even possible to get what I requested without adjusting the UCA? Btw they refused to give me a printout.

Honestly don't know. Never been. Hopefully some of the other guys will chime in. I think me and Eddy have talked about third Saturday of Feb.

 

I don't see any issues with that date. Ill keep my eyes out for a response on the sliders. I know im gonna build some. Just don't know how soon. Body damage is big no go LoL

 

If body damage is a big nono, then build sliders. You can get through a lot of the park without them, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

just in case anyone cares, retread tires for daily driver, bad idea. Worked well with stock wheels where they were able to static balance. but after maket wheels without the lip on the outside, just wasn't able to get them balanced. tried sticky weights that were stacked 3 high and like 10 oz. Also tried the drop in bags. Nothing, broke down and now my cheap ass bought new Cooper discovers at3. Cant wait to have something that doesn't saw the wheel out of my hands or vibrate my but.

 

You mean 2+ caster? You said camber twice. Caster if I remember correctly only comes from the LCAs anyways. But it is kinda fishy they wouldn't give you a print out.

I did sorry "2+ caster" the LR UCA have adjustments for both. A slide for camber and a locking multi position knuckle for caster. Which I set to -2 while most say they have to set positive to achieve correct caster with a 3 inch lift. I agree. It handles and tracks great but has NO wheel return after turning.. She'd make circles if I let go of wheel mid turturnAnd highway driving floats every where... All signs of low caster imo. I think im gonna call them on it and give them a chance to fix it. Otherwise ill go get a printout on it from another shop and get ugly.
