Agreed. I was on my lunch break lol. Usually read threads while eating. But didn't miss much in this one.

 

I have all jumper led lights. Those things are great! Only thing I'm missing is the reverse lights so let me know how they are!

60k last year and I was off 6 months for my hip replacement. Love...my...job.

 

Well. It was 60% of my pay for those 6 months. Not like I wasn't getting paid.
I suppose the most important part was I got my 15 yr anny and got an extra week vacay and personal day. So I got to spend a week longer in indiana with the folks and gram for xmas.

 

but everyday I go to work, I thin ima thro this hip out. Still some serious pain. Just have to watch your step. I used to think an earache or toothache was painfull.
No..Hip replacement and therapy smokes em by a mile.

 

I was too......and then I owed! Five cars, 4 kids, student loans & a middle class sized home for itemized deductions & we still owed $. It should be illegal.

 

re-fill out a W-4 with your employeer soon and don't take so many deductions. If you for sure don't want to owe you need to put "0" deductions. that way you will have more taxes withheld from each paycheck but you can be sure to get a refund when it comes tax time. My buddy texted me the other day spilling his situation as to why he owed and didn't understand that even claiming "1" on your w-4 could throw you in a position to owe. Some people however don't like the government "borrowing" their $$ so they try and plan to break even or owe a small amount and invest and earn a return on what the government would be taking out. I personally think of it as a savings account and my wife and I both claim "0" and still have withholdings with "single" status so we are sure to get the most back when time comes to put towards bills or a vacation all at once. Just my $.02

 

Haha well two years ago I lost my ag exemption on my land in Texas.. Come tax time I owed 8500 dollars in land tax alone.. With my exemption it was 4-600 dollars depending on the year

I have never in my life recieved more than a hundred bucks back from the govt. oh and I have two kids, married, and I'm the only person working in the household. Government is straight bending me over each year because I have money in stocks...

 

Stocks, 401k are all trash. so many better investments for retirement and such. There are ways so they can not get your money on taxes, deal with probate, blah blah .... But i cant say anything until im licensed.

 

Nah not trash by any means. Mine make plenty of money each month to keep us going with my wife not working.

The land is what fucked me over.. 200 acres with no ag exemption kicked my ass haha
