Dumb question but you need a funnel to get gas from can to truck?

I will have water cans next batch.

You do not need a funnel, you can use a super siphon of a spout from eBay, search scepter spout.

In case you don't know, using one of the clamp-on style US Mil-Surplus spouts will seal and prevent leakage.

You can make your own, use a super siphon or any of the three styles of spouts the US Military utilized over the decades. Which where the screw-on and clamp-on styles for the original metal GI gas cans and the current, MFC-specific screw-on spout.

I investigated that but thought that it would mess with the threads even more.

Ended up having to buy the ridiculously expensive outer thread fuel spout unfortunately.

No it wouldn't hurt the threads at all. It is simply an expandable rubber plug that presses into the threads to seal.

I am having the same exact problem with my threads. Purchased about 2 months ago. I'm gonna buy a super siphon instead. I really wish I could use the spout I spent 2 hours making though....

It's too late now as I already bought the one that screws onto the outer threads.

But if my inner threads are completely worn down in spots (e.g. Missing/flush) would the rubber still seal it completely?

I wonder if someone local has one to test out to see if it's works with buggered treads.
