Love your truck! Clean and simple but still enough change to stand out. Nice move on switching to a 4wd. Its better to have it and not need it than get stuck! From what it sounds like your using your truck for currently I might recommend looking into sliders for piece of mind and protection. While the BPF skid looks nice and is an improvement over stock I would probably look into a full set of aluminum skids for added protection for you transmission and transfer case. Aluminum to keep it light and strong without adding as much weight as steel. Regardless of what you decide its a great looking truck and will look even better with your choices.

Thanks dude! I appreciate it! Yea I've been thinking about armor lately. I feel like that would be best. I would hate to be out on a trail and damage the truck. There's so much out there tho haha kinda hard to choose but I don't mind doing my research. Little by little!

Running with little to no protection has some risk but picking good lines and taking things slow sometimes very slow can keep you pretty safe. Sliders were my first purchase after denting one of the stock tube steps. Scared the crap outta me since my truck was only 1 month old but I realized before it happened I was about to try something risky and took it very slowly which kept my cab safe. The biggest decision on sliders is whether you want bolt on or weld on. Weld on is cheaper but you need to have them installed if you cant weld. I chose bolt on so I could install and remove them since I have never welded and dont know anyone that could do it for me. I picked what I thought was the stongest bolt on application available, offered the features I wanted and then waited for a group buy. After getting my bolt on sliders, which have been fantastic and I have beat the crap out of, I would probably choose weld on next time to spend 1/2 the $$$ I did. For weld on I would find the cheapest locally, being in SoCal you've got a lot of good somewhat local options. Shipping sliders is expensive. For skids or sliders group buys are a great way to save money. Sometimes I wish I would have gone with aluminum skids but I beat my truck pretty hard and was afraid with my inexperience I would beat the aluminum too hard and crack them. Steel is heavy but at least if I beat on them too hard I can just hammer them back into shape with a BFH. I may switch to Aluminum later down the road when I learn to have limits with how much I beat on my truck. Armor also has potential for a negative side affect of providing too much comfort. Theres times I just say/think "Lets try it this way, worst that can happen is I beat on my armor more than I'm expecting". At some point I need to remove my Transfer skid and take it to a welder to have 2 of the welds redone from hitting it too hard too many times. Its still plenty strong but I have seen some separation at 2 weld points.

On the road to hopefully making mine look as good. Still all stock. Any issues with them off-road?

Nice man slow and steady. No issues at all, so fall all the places I've been they've hooked up really nicely. No regrets. I'll be doing some more wheeling this weekend too.

@TWashburn1212 btw how do you like that flowmaster exhaust? I've been looking into getting one but haven't really decided on what I want to get.

@schecter517 I totally understand that. Flowmaster is nice but the drone can be annoying on long trips (2+ hours). I'm betting there are better options out there, but I've still be pretty happy with my decision.

for sure. The drone is what I'm worries about. I've been looking at the 50 series muffler. I also checked out Magnaflow and MBRP. There's just so much out there to choose from! not easy haha

@schecter517 it's worth thinking outside the box. The full kit install was nice to me, but you could do some exhaust/pipe combos and make something really bad-ass.

Just bought my first bike btw. Honda CRF250L. Hoping Schecter is a guitar reference too....

Yea that's what I was thinking. There's a local shop that does really good exhaust work and I was thinking of just buying the muffler I want and having some custom piping made. Chances are that's the route I'll take.

Hell yea man! Moto is life! those bikes are sweet too you can go anywhere!

And yes it is! I've got a 2008 C-1 Hellraiser and a 2013 LTD EC1000. Love both of those bad boys. They sound great especially the Schecter since it has EMG's in it.

I posted pics of my stuff above. Sold the Vox though and got an Orange Dual Terror.

I like your grille and the headlights. What'd the lights run you? Could you mount a Toyota emblem to the grille?

How is the Dual Terror? I've played the Dark Terror and that thing was sweet!

Those are Tacoma Beast projectors and I have DDM tunings ultra canbus HID kit in them. They look and work great! The grill can def have an emblem mounted to it with some 3M.

Thanks! These lights are from Tacoma Beast. They look and work great and I haven't had any issues with them at all. They came with standard halogen bulbs but I replaced them with an HID kit from DDM Tuning. Super bright and the cut off lines are perfect. No cutting required either so I didn't void the warranty.
