Scheduled Maintenance?

I picked up my taco at the beginning of the year with 36k and just passed 56k. I called the dealership and the women on the phone told me they have a recommended 55k mile service of checking fluids and rotating tires. Stating a mileage I just surpassed sounded like a sales tactic to me.. isn't there actually an established service regimen at 50 or 60k? I tried googling but came up empty handed.
