Do others not stick out past the door for the purpose of protecting it from trees, rocks, and soccer moms? I know ours do and I assumed most vendors do this, but maybe not.

Im sure most do to some extent, but I know demello expressed theirs went out a good ways so I went with them. Also I used to have their Baja bumper so it wasn't much for me to be sold. Dammit I didn't realize you guys were that close!

Cool, thanks for the feedback. Maybe I should make that more clear on our description.

Yup, you could have picked them up from my house which is a quick drive from Alexandria. Or bought me a beer and I could have met you at said establishment serving the beer.

Sad part is I ordered the sliders before joining up here. Im sure if I knew of you guys before ordering I would of been a customer. I much prefer local stuff to buying from the west coast. Oh well...your sliders look great! It doesn't hurt to broadcast the width dimensions of them just so some can have a reference but they look like they fit the bill from the pics. I would love to check out the shop some time.

For me, Mobtown was the way to go. I wanted something completely bolt-on in case I ever wanted to take them off and sell the truck. After some research, it seems their bolt-on option is the strongest in its category. Also, they were running a 20% off special at the time, so I couldn't pass the deal up.

My buddy 90yota has some on his ride. I just saw them yesterday, I think they could work for steps...they bolt right underneath the cab though. How high is your ride? He had his at 3 inches of lift on 32's on a 3rd gen.

oh yeah, i guess a lift would impact that. stock suspension OR. I was looking for something that was low profile, act as a step, and protection if the opportunity arose.

I specifically had them built at 0 degrees so I could use them as steps and sliders. No shin catching here!

nice, stock suspension? Could you send over a few pics, different angles? If that isn't too much to ask. That would be real helpful.

First time I've looked your way. Will be going with you for bolt on sliders after a few other things are bought. What kind of lead times do you have right now?

For those of you looking for heavy duty sliders that also functions excellent as a step without loosing any clearance, check ours out. We have them available for '05-Current DCSB and ACLB. We are currently working on '05-current DCLB right now and will be available in a couple weeks.
Our sliders feature a hybrid design using square and round tubing. Frame mounting plates wrap around the bottom of the frame rail for more than enough strength (We lifted the entire Tacoma at expedition weight off the ground with our car hoist attached under the main rectangle tube and the sliders deflected upwards no more than an 1/8"). The sliders come standard with kickout and a 25 degree up slope on the outer rails.
The best part is that our removable step plates still sit at 0 degrees for an optimal stepping platform!

Current lead time is 3 weeks.

I second the thanks to the vendors on here. I'm having a tough time deciding who to go with now since they have been very helpful and insightful. I'm going to have some predator tube steps for sale shortly if anyone is interest. Minor damage to the passenger side
