Should I go ahead and place the order now or wait for some sort of discount code? Many internet points to you if I can also manage to get the sliders by Nov 22, so I can get my brothers to help me install for Thanksgiving.

We have similar stories. I bent my running boards (which in turn dented the bottom door panel). Now I have some rock sliders from Trail Gear. Note that I wouldn't recommend these particular ones, as there was some custom work that had to be done to get them to fit. But all and all I would highly recommend a set of durable sliders. Mine are 78" for reference.

Below is a photo of the OEM steps that got bent and then a photo of the new sliders

Edit: just saw that you have already ordered a set. Hope they turn out well OP!!

I am eagerly awaiting the sliders. I was in AZ this weekend on forest roads thinking I was going to finish off the remaining predator tube steps. Didn't break anymore in the latest trip, though my 5 year old daughter loves to tell everyone how daddy broke her step, including everyone we came across on the trail this weekend.

Is their drilling required for the mobtown's or simply bolt-on?

There is a write up description on here some where, where he states no drilling, uses some sort of clamp or wrap around the frame system. Sounds good

100% True Bolt On, No Drill.

We arguably make the strongest bolt on sliders on the market.

DCSB are approx 150 lbs with hardware. Add approx 20 lbs for DCLB.

Without. Fill plates add about 10 lbs.
