Hey guys, so I recently bought a classic truck (a mid-60's Datsun 320) ~1,500 miles away from where I live. I'm going to have it shipped because it's not well suited for long highway travel (it made 60HP when it was new). but I have no experience with shipping a vehicle and could use some advice.

I submitted a request with U-Ship and got a bunch of quotes varying from $1/mile (which I think is fair) to $2+/mile which I think is too much.

An added bonus is my new-to-me truck is too narrow to fit on a normal car-transport trailer.

So has anyone else been in a situation like this or can recommend a shipping company which they've had good luck with?

    Thanks in advance!

Just to update my own thread, I ended-up using a Broker out of Chicago called BKK Trucking. The seller of my Datsun recommended them having used them in the past and I was in a hurry to get the truck, plus their price was fair at a time when gas prices were going crazy so I went with them. The whole process was pretty smooth and the truck arrived in good shape.

Hope this helps anyone else who may need it in the future.
