Was on the highway today and drove up a big hill that normally in 5th gear with the cruise on I drop 7 to 8 mph by the top. Today I went up it and only dropped 2 mph by the top! My tires are slightly aired down too right now at 30lbs. If that's not real world evidence of these headers kicking ass then I don't know what is. /storytime

The truck is likely going to shape shift in the near future... With winter coming, long road trips ahead and the pup I'm considering a cap. Ok maybe I ordered one  really excited for what this will do to my clean, dry usable space in the rear.

That's badass! Being a manual as well I hate leaving my cruise on up the hills... I can't tell how much gas it's giving it or when to downshift. Although the ulteagauge does help now... I can kinda tell off of the instant MPG

I find that in cruise it never goes open loop by watching scangauge. I don't know enough to know why...? I usually kick off cruise too for most hills and pedal it.

I may have to look into those. My cruise is driving me crazy dropping gears then upshifting only to downshift again. Auto problems.

Im sure the truck getting heavier just isnt helping either.

Yea weight is brutal. Took the tent off today and drove it a bit and it felt like an entirely different truck... The pull up the hill earlier was with the tent still on to keep it comparable btw.

The passenger side header is still contacting the coil bucket solidly. I have yet to contact urd about it but the other guy I know with them is having the same issue. I am going to remedy it with solid motor mounts but you shouldn't have to... So unless you want to go solid motor mounts I'd stay away from the 2012+ spec u headers... Hate to say it but its grinding my gears a bit

Yeah, I bet. What is interesting is that Lucario Runner's aren't hitting. Supposedly his were a tad wider than the current run.

He updated me this week and said he was waiting on the plate to be cut, was Tuesday I think. Hopefully I'll have them come next weekend for install. I NEED them bad. Pissed about the flat spot my header has on it.

Hmm, yea I wonder what was changed with that runner between the previous non air injection header and the 12+ injected models. There's plenty of space for that runner to be laid back a bit too closer to the motor, which would fix the issue. Gonna call G at urd this week I think

I dont even have much weight yet, which is crazy. Tent/rack/bumper and stock tires still so itll only get worse. Probably just need to start the habit of dropping cruise for now.

I like solid mounts :anonymous: had them in my previous 240 and it wasnt too bad. The only thing i dont like is not being able to run coil bucket gussets.

I wouldn't even worry about the coil bucket gussett. It really doesn't do much. Your way better off doing a simple strut tower brace around the back of your engine

    XPOTRON and SconnieHailer[OP] like this.
