then clocking the Tcase is what you want.

really you don't need more lift.

Bigger tires would also solve the issue :p

Doug Thorley makes a Y-pipe for 2nd gens that goes behind the tcase rather than under it.

As for the cross member your only option is to clock the Tcase and build a custom crossmember. The catch is I don't think you can do this with the OEM tcase. The only people I know that have done it, have installed an FJC Tcase with a crawlbox. I'm thinking the crawlbox is the key to clocking the Tcase though, but I haven't actually looked into it too deep.

The easiest option is to just do like me and everyone else does and just slap a skid plate under there.

Yes you have to get the crawl box to clock as the clocking plate only mounts to the crawl box i THINK. Might be able to do it with just an FJ case tho.

Appreciate the informative replies guys. I don't off road as extreme as lot of other people here and the fix to help with clearance under there is a bit extreme for me, personally. Looks like many just install skids and drag away if necessary.

    Thanks again

Yea skids sound like it'll be fine for you. Nothing wrong with some dragging :p

That's just how you have to drive with skids. haha Skids are rock anchors so you just hit things harder since the skids can take it and the momentum makes up for the clearance loss. haha

Haha, lots going on in here while I was away for the day.

@fivespeed, if you go to the first page and post of my build thread it has links in it near the top of the first post. I have a link to the exhaust reroute and all the stuff that's on my truck. I have all three skids from Pelfreybilt and the transfercase skid is flat where the exhaust normally drops below the crossmember. Just get some skids and drag away. I really don't drag too much when I'm wheeling, and usually I know it's coming too.

Good plan! :D You'll have a much better time telling ppl to look in the first post then explaining yourself and digging for pictures or answers multiple times...

Also, it's really easy Steve it just takes some time and patients digging through your build thread.
