Nice. Yea i wasn't impressed with the URD... I just want something that feels solid and tight, the stock unit is so sloppy compared to most every other stick ive driven...

    did the clamshell bushing today.
no vibes. success. pretty easy job. I used the cable sledge method to get the axle out. and only pulled the two lower ball joint bolts. When I grabbed the axle before and after it was crazy how much slop there was with the needle bearing compared to the bushing.

Yea I didnt read much of that thread, too much to look thru haha. Basically Toyota dropped the ball on their carrier design. there's just a lot of tollerence in that needle bearing that comes stock and a lift just brings out the fault. ecgs showed a 50 thousands movement with the needle bearing and with the bushing it's down to 10 thou, plus the bushing is longer and gives a better support to the axle.

you'll know if you have the vibe... and don't worry about it unless you feel one. mine was at around 30-35mph and went away when i engaged 4wheel drive.

Hmmm I have a vibration in 4wd over 90km/hr with my ECGS diffs. Wonder if this or that other bushing on the other side if the differential would cause it. No vibe in 2wd. I emailed ecgs and never got a reply back.

daisy is locked up front right? did you get the whole assembled clam from them? i dont think ecgs would have put in the bushing unless you specified and i know most people say that the locker fixed their vibes cuz it replaces the carrier. and i have very limited knowledge when it comes to gears so i've got no idea where your vibes are coming from if it really is from the diff and not somewhere else. you could pm them too, Chase is on here.

The more I drive with the new bushing the more i realize how bad the vibe was! truck feels so smooth now, it's awesome.

Truck looks good buddy!! I see you went with the MT/Rs...good choice. Love my MT/Rs. Looks like you added an additional hanger for your exhaust to be up higher and exit more towards the rear bumper? Got any additional pics of your ummm rear? :D

I'll remember this when you get new tires :D

of course I would have liked 35's, but I commute with my truck 48 miles a day more than 3 times a week... sooo it's just best for my situation to stay with 285's. Someday when my warranty is up and i'm ready to go there it'l have 35's

Haha I would still consider it if I can get a pair to drive on around here for a few miles with the soon to be new gears. Other wise ill probably go with 285's as well. They will still look massive on my lil truck .

33's look great on a 3'' lift though. I'd like the see 35's in person as well. I can make the smaller 32's look great in a picture .
