haha, I know I know... Gonna be boosted one day. Good thing I don't drive in sand much. A few things left before boost happens

Also i'm torn on what to do about my fenders. Looks like i'll be trimming them a bit on top. Might just take a full inch out front and rear idk. I'm adding some spacers to my superbumps to stop the small bit of coil bind i get with the superbumps and we'll see if that stops the fender bashing, if not, guess im gonna be opening up the wheel well a bit.

 

I have the same dilemma as you Marc. I put a 1/4" spacer under the superbumps and it helps a little but I think I'm still gonna have to hack away at the fenders some more. I am still not 3" lift up front but don't want to jack up the c/o too much because my CV angles now are pretty good and i wheel my truck a ton. I may just end up cranking the c/o more to achieve 3" up front

 

crank the co more and you will still have the rubbing at stuff. pluss if you preload it more you may get coil bind depending on the coil you have. 600 or 700? I'm only 2.5" up front and dont want to go any higher. Rides the best and keeps the cv's happy. If I cranked them any more i would get worse coil bind which is a big time bad thing. the 700 lb king coils have pretty tight spacing between coils... Only solution I can think of is a +2" kit

I have Icons so I have 650# springs. I'm gonna crank up the c/o a little more. I will probably end up upgrading the coils to 700# coils because I keep drooling over sick looking bumpers. I'm 2.5" of lift and it rides really good right now. The only thing I have weighing down the front is the Pelfreybilt skid (55 pounds).

 

Tires look great Marc! Did you get to play with them in the snow yet?

yea Dave, if you add anymore weight the 700's are perfect and you wont have to preload as much either.

Thanks Gage, I have not been out to let them eat deep snow yet. I have driven on some icy roads though, and that was a bit more dicey than with the duratracs but not uncontrollable, just gotta slow down, which is a good idea anyways...

 

so. I had some time today to finish the trucker style horn i'm going to rig up on the truck with my onboard co2. I'm going to wire the solenoid to the factory horn wires and open up the tank whenever I feel like it. not sure on the mounting location yet... Video of proof that I am a huge nerd I guess

Best I could get tonight... Lightforces are just taped on for now Winch is wired and working great, loose spooled for the night. Very pleased with the fit and finish, just awesome.
