Mud is the worst. Not sure what causes the blue on the rubber. Absolute worsted I've ever seen is where I duck hunt around the Salton sea. Shit is deep, nasty and salty. Does not come off and corrodes everything to hell. I avoid it like the plague. Alkalinity is so high that I sunk an old tundra and had to leave it for a few weeks. The mud are the chrome off the wheels.

Magic Lanterned it up!

 

ate chrome off wheels , I got er washed up reeeel good today. two rounds at the wash actually. first to get the top coat then went home and got all the nanny crannies with my fingers and then went back to finally get it back to where it was before i sunk the pig.

I did shoot it in Ap priority and used magic lantern to do my bulb ramp and intervelometer at 1 shot every two seconds. Next time i'll try something different to preserve the feeling that it is getting darker because the camera just kept compensating and making it seem light out when it was actually really dark... If you have a canon dslr you have to try magic lantern, really opens up the functionality.

by the way..... when the hell did you get 35's and an air rammer!? SICK! Guess i've been under a rock haha

 

Thanks! I don't have magic lantern. I just use a stand alone intervelometer. I've had the same issues when shooting in AP mode and having it compensate for the changing light.

 

on the SB 10K

I hate mud so much. I've seen the blue residue from mud around here too. It is a bish to get off completely. I always assumed it was some reaction between the tire rubber and some mineral in the mud.

 

Were you lucky enough to have a tree to winch to? I fear getting stuck and the winch being good for nothing.

 

Haha yea nothing to winch off within 200yds... luckily i got helpfrom a guy with a truck after hiking 2 miles out to the main road...

And yea mike, the SB 10k x2o was clutch!

That Salton sea mud is crazy!! After living in the south for a while too and experiencing that , I still think its worse at the salton.
