Might be a 1st gen, 2nd gen thing. I did not see one offered by DSM with a resi for 1st gens.

 

This may be a new concept for some but I thought this was worthy of posting.

*Your tires move on your wheel*

When aired down for some wheeling you will see some movement of the tire on your wheels. This is the movement I observed after the last weekend trip into shoshone and bombing around the lower wind river trails. I air down to about 15psi. This is why my next set will get beads instead of weights so i'll never have to worry about re-balancing because of this. I knew this existed because of my time at the track with my dads car, we never balanced his tires because they move so much, roughly a half inch every session on the track. Anyways, something to consider for your wheel and tire setup

This sort of thing is also very inconsistent. Not all tire beads are created equal. Some fit much tighter that others and may not move at all in the same circumstances.

 

Yup gonna have to go to beads when i get new wheels

I might love my skids a little too much...

Got them straightened out with a 6lb sledge and the went right back on the truck no problems

Also did some investigating today. Drained my front diff to see about a vib i've had since moab and pulled the CV to check the ECGS bushing(used the big pry bar this time and the CV popped out really easy). All is well and I wiped down the seal well since it had been weeping and there was lots of dirt in it. I also discovered that my heims in the lower shock mount are toast... Tons of play and it's the noise i've been hearing on washboard thinnking it was my crappy steering column. Mike, seems i'm up for new heims too! I have about 30k on the king coilovers...

Interesting. 30K seems a bit low, but maybe not.

I kno, it is a bit like apple to oragnes but a close inspection of my SAWs revealed the passenger heim was frozen which caused a deterioration of the inner race. That must have been the squeak I was hearing.

I am curious what you actually found. Are they just very loose, lots/too much play?

When you get tired of scraping your Taco you might want to consider upgrading to an M-ATV It can handle scrapes and mines...so you're covered...lol

yea Mike, it's all up and down motion, pretty tight back and forth(front to back of truck motion) I do run it hard i guess. That's been my squeak of late as well...
