My superbumps easily compress shorter than the stock ones statically. They are extremely soft.

Not the best picture but this is statically compressed (the ORI's are empty) and they are compressed smaller than the metal spacer on the OEM's. I had to add a 3/8" spacer to them because my sub frame was hitting the ground on hard hits. As I'm sure you read from Marc, he had to add a 2nd 3/8" spacer because his C/O's were bumping before the superbumps with one spacer:eek:

i wanted more cushion...they were in the rear on a ~1-1/2" metal mount that didn't give much cushion past the bump...so i went with the timbren rear setup for all bump and minimal mount..

i have a full set of wheelers at home as well, but i'll eventually put that on the fj i'm thinking

Yes I am. I just want to skip the whole tacking my cams thing. I have not tried it and it probably works fine. I've been having to run the lower arm at lots of caster which puts it at a big angle in the frame mount and the derlin doesn't like that...it wants to be flush with the mount. So I'm just pulling out all the stops and going for a solid mount and using the upper for alignment.

Superbumps stuff compress juuuuust fine haha. I can static compress them farther than stock probably when really loaded up. I have two 3/8" spacers on top of the one that DK sends with the lowers to compensate... I still can polish the top of the fender liners under a crawling stuff.

This is what im talking about James. Thanks Brady

Thanks guys, sound like a good option, I was worried about the height/contact point, but sounds like a non-issue.

Anxious to see how the DK lowers are for you. I'm a big fan of the superbumps. They take a bit of adjustment to work with your setup but once you use them correctly they're great!

They were backordered, supposed to ship early next week, went through and laid a bead behind of the tabs for support, had to fully replace one, and then will tack them once I get an alignment.

Sounds link you have already done the research, I may just go with what you have done, our setups will be near identical, I have #650 though, so should be getting less coil bind.

They will be worth the short wait  The guys or guy or gal? at DK do great work, every dime in their weld stacks were beaut! Some of the best finished products i've got on my truck, next to pelfreybilt in quality of delivered product.

Yea i've done a fair bit of research on the alignment bs. I just didnt want to mess with tacking cams thing it since I dont have a full shop with a welder...yet. Once I get the alignment dialed with the hiemed uppers I should be golden until i bend the frame :anonymous:

The 700 lb coils suck for bind... They're the reason i have to run two spacers under my superbumps. They're robbing me of a bit of uptravel but my front end weight would not work with anything less than 700 lb coils :pout:

They are basically the gold standard for CV axles. Around $1K per axle though... making them twice the price of OEM's from the stealership:eek:

They claim to be stronger, but the few people I have read about running them seemed to break them about as easy as stock:notsure: They definitely have more articulation so if you are breaking axles from binding those should help that. But if you are breaking them because you are trying to turn 35's full throttle with a front locker I can't really guarantee they will be much better than OEM...

Soon! On the road werkn... He's growing like a weed!!

Yep seen em. Lots of coin for axles when the OEM work great. I'm not locked up front and don't really think 33's put tons more stress on them like 35's might. I like the design and think they're a great option if you've got the dollaz. If you're gonna be doing some hard launching in 4wd you might need em :p

yup...save coin, buy some CVJ remans and get good at swapping out axles if you plan to break many

If you put an arb in the diff it helps strengthen the diff.

I'd love some of those axles...sigh...
