Hello fellow taco heads. Which do you guys like more the Scosche or Metra dash kit for Tacoma. The Scosche measures 3" and 13/16" by 6" and 13/16" and my 4x7 double din wont fit. People complain that the opening is too big on the Metra and I was wondering what you guys went with.

Its a 2012. I figured it out, you have to go with a Metra kit as you will need to trim 1/16 of an inch on either side of the opening for the radio. Oddly enough non of the kits actually have a 4"x7" opening.

They will all fit a double din so don’t worry about the measurements unless you have some odd knock-off Chinese brand that doesn’t use standard sizing

when I was installing, I always used the Metra and never had problems with them. Fitment was always fine

My odd knock off Chinese brand is exactly 4"x7". But my Scosche has an opening of 3" 13/16th x 6" 13/16th.
All of the Kenwoods and other brands have this size too. Good to hear about the Metra, thanks.
