scosche ta07sr power light

to everyone that has one of these.....does the green led power light stay on constantly or does it flash like an internet modem? i just installed a jvc stereo today and i used the scosche ta07sr for the jbl sound system. the radio worked fine for a few minutes but then the audio cut out....now it is super quiet. my scosche power light blinks randomly. i need to figure out if this is normal or if there is a way i can test it before i have to take it to cartoys and spend 85 bucks an hour for someone else to look at it.

 

This is a known problem. These things are pieces of shit in my opinion. I bought one used to install my pioneer HU. Turns out i have the same problem as you. The thing works great for about 2 minutes but then all audio cuts out and the scosche unit is off. My power light never stayed on constantly, only blinked. The way to fix it temporarily (or maybe permanently in your case) is to unplug the HU, plug back in your stock JBL HU, turn that up to 35-40 while playing music, unplug it while the music is still playing, then quickly plug back in your scosche. This resets the amp gain for the stock amp. Mine would reset like this fine everytime but worked for only 2 minutes, it was like the scosche forgot the gain settings and shutoff. My warranty replacement is in the mail so I will give it one more chance...

 

got it figured out. took it to a car toys and the scosche module was defective. got a new module put in and it works just fine. lesson of the day: never buy scosche products!
