    Hey guys,

Has any of you guys used the ScotchGard on the cloth seats in a 3rd Gen? My buddy used it on his 19 4cy Taco and gave me like half the can. I personally have not ever used it so hearing from you guys would help me out a lot?

So if it works, do you just spray it on the cloths? What happens if it has contact to the plastic trims and pieces and such?

I just used up my bottle of 309 Stain Guard with no ill effects, but no Scotch Guard experience.

I scotch guarded. No ill effects. I think it makes cleaning the seats a tad easier. Baseball clay is tough on the gray seats though.

I've used Scotchgard on all of my vehicles that have had fabric seats for the past 25 years. It works. Just follow the directions. It takes one full can to treat your Tacoma's interior with one coat. I apply two coats one day apart. So two cans. Make sure your seats are clean before applying. Scotchgard makes a fabric cleaner. I cover the console of my Tacoma with a towel. If Scothgard come in contact with vinyl just wipe it off. Easy, peasy.

Scotch guard has been proven to be extremely toxic to humans. Thought it was banned outside of industrial applications. High chance of cancer and tumor growth. Especially in children.

The company that makes it claims to have changed the chemical in it that causes these problems. But independent studies have shown that this new chemical is just as bad.

You mean toyota care doesn't have an interior stain solution from the factory?
