I drove to Corpus Christi for the first time on Wednesday. While I was driving I weighed the pros and cons of a build thread. It really came down to one question that I think all members should ask themselves before they do this. "What do I have that makes my truck build thread worthy?"
I reviewed all the mods on my truck and I came up with a few and figured why not?

Have you done the sound deadening yet? Debating on doing it for my truck to help with the tire drone

 

Yes I have! It's a great addition to any Tacoma if you are willing to dedicate the time and money.

 

How hard was ripping out everything for the floor board? Lol I've ripped the door panels off before so that'll be the easiest, but the floor is where I definitely need it lol

 

The floor is the second easiest part. The hardest by far is the headliner. The floor takes the longest because it's the largest area to cover. If you set the parts in their respective order and location (so you don't mix up the driver/passenger side parts) then putting everything back together will take no more than 15 mins.

 

Thinking about selling my tonneau cover and getting a bed rack. With the planned set up I want I am weighing the pros and cons. If I were to get a bed rack, I'd do an overland style bed rack with canvas covers added to it. I'm not a fan of the soft top/bed rack idea so that's out of the question. I'm also weighing the option of a hard shell but the added weight concerns me. I've done quite a bit of research and I'm at a cross roads on the matter so any feedback is appreciated.

I mainly haul my guns and big duffle bags but with the set up I want (RTT, gas cans, TREDs) I think going with a bed rack would be wise. What do you guys think?

Just bought an LED whip to go along with my CB antenna. I'll post some pics of that setup later. Still looking for a long bed hard cap.
Bruteforce hybrid front bumper should be done by the end of December/beginning of January. Still gotta paint my sliders but studying for finals is kicking my ass.

Oh and my ditch light brackets are for sale so if anyone needs 'em let me know.

 

Another thing I'd like to add here for any new TW members who want to do the grid it mod. Take a dremel and cut around all the edges to the point where the stitching meets the ends (be careful to not screw up). You can use a knife but It'll take longer. Be sure to burn all the loose fabric with a lighter. For the adhesive I used automotive goop, which sounds odd but it's strong as heck and if it ever comes off (which it won't) then you can peel the goop with no damage whatsoever.
