Well, I was going to change my manual transmission oil today, first I found out redline mt 90 was $20/bottle, I wasn't sure if i wanted to do that, then the guy at the store told me about scotty's cocktail, which is a recipe of

    1qt Redline lightweight shockproof
    1qt Pennzoil Synchromesh
    2qt Castrol HypoyC 80w-90

So apparently you mix those 3 things together and use that in place of the manual transmission fluid. it's supposed to work will with japanese made transmissions, as they have "soft syncro's"

So I'm wondering if anyone uses it, or has used or has heard good or bad about it?

    Thanks

I read about it all the time when I had the rex. I never used it but it was supposed to make the car shift a lot smoother. I'm not sure how it would do in our trucks. If you try it let me know...
