I'm considering getting a "Paint Correction" done on my other car, Taco is going to have to live with a million pinstripes...but my new-to-me sports car could use some buffing. For light scratches a single stage paint correction would solve most issues, and since I'm not willing to do it myself I'm considering having a shop do a paint correction for like 3-400. Once I get the paint correction I'm going to have PPF applied to the front of the car to help with rock chips while doing trackdays.

Paint correction with DA polisher is the most effective way to remove scratches. I use the Griots Boss pads and creams with their G9 polisher with a 5" backing plate. The specific combination of pad and cream depends on the severity of the scratch. You may have to use 2000-3000 grit sandpaper if it is deep. Most are easily repairable as long as the scratch does not extend beyond the clear coat. You can buy all of the tools/ supplies for less than a detailer will charge.
