Was anyone smart enough to buy the insurance set of the screen protech and not screw theirs up? I just need the instrument cluster protector and I don't wanna spend another $55 for a new set. Does anyone have one they're willing to sell? I tried to post this in the buy and sell section but apparently I can't without making more post.

And you can't subvert the BST rules with posts like these either.

Hang around, join the fray and you'll be on your way!

A tip of you, Buy a new gauge cluster lense to install the protect on. being new, it will not have any scratches or imperfections in it plus it can buy bought for under $50. part number is 83852-04F00

How well does the screen protector hide micro scratches? I don't think I care THAT much to where I'd pull the OEM plastic out and replace it lol.

Very well. I scratched mine up and after a few years I got the SP kit, I cannot see the damage. Way easier than replacing the cluster lens which will still scratch.

I remember putting mine on...what a pain in the ass! :frusty:
I scrapped one cover and had to use the second one and still only got it "good enough." Otherwise I would gift it to you.
Eurowner is correct, the new film will cover previous sins.

Also, don't stress over minor bubbles in your new film. Most if not all inconsistencies will disappear in a few days as it cures.

I installed mine on an old lens and the results were good enough for me. I also purchased a two pack in case I screwed up the install. When the install went well I sold the other in the BST and recouped the cost of the second one.

Can simply use a layer of wax every few months or so. Also scratch-x works great to remove scratches, followed by a coat of wax.

After almost 5 years mine looks like new.

I’m pretty sure you can still buy another at the discounted rate. I would just email them.

I installed mine last weekend. Infotainment looks great, but the dash was a little tricky. Have some air bubbles in the middle but I’m sure they’ll go away.
