x2 Good idea,Ive had numerous tires plugged some myself never a leak, blowout or any problems and its cheaper than an inside patch job and as safe

Just took it to TiresPlus on 420 and Baltimore Pike. They said too close to the sidewall to patch. So I'm having them take my spare off of the steel rim and mount that on the good rim and vice versa ($30). I'll plug the bad tire tonight and run that as my spare.
