    this

you bought a pair of used shocks for 120, what were you expecting? if he didnt post a guarantee then he doesnt really owe you anything. but if he knew these shocks were useless thats when he is ripping you off.

we need to know how bad the shocks are to really tell

it doesn't matter. if the guy knew they were shot then he shouldn't have sold them to someone else. Especially on a truck forum where word will get out.

Just because he got screwed doesn't mean it gives him the right to screw and rip someone else off just to collect back some of the money that he spent on them. And if he said that Leeper would have rebuilt them for free why didn't he just take care of it himself. Because he knew they were fucked and that they wouldn't rebuild them.

Now let us know who did it please. I am always looking on the B/S/T section and I'd feel more comfortable knowing who to avoid on it.

Sounds like the cat is out of the bag now!

I take it you saw this post after you already bought the shocks. I don't know, I tend to agree with Milesdoublecab that you are buying as is product, and especially for 120 bucks, that price is too good to be true. Granted I would be pissed.

Half back seems fair to me if only to protect his rep. I've sold something before that the buyer claimed was shot, but in that case it was working when it went out the door, and it was working when the buyer tried it out on pickup (it was a camera lens). But I still split the difference, and gave him half back because bad karma blows.

Douche. If you were sold bad shocks, you should have taken it up with the seller.

If you broke them yourself, you man up and deal with it. Do not sell them off again as though they're working. Disgusting.

I would have to say I've only dealt with Two people on this Forum and Both are Very Honest and Above Board, However they are selling their own items and not used Stuff. I've heard too many Horror stories about E-Bay and some other sights. If I'm buying I buy from a Company on Line or Local.
