SCS Blemished Wheels

I just spent about 15 minutes trying to find a wheel in the brands you mentioned in a 17 x 9 -38 mm offset. I could not find this but maybe I missed it. Do you know if either of these wheels offer that or something close? Also when I was searching the wheels you suggested they all appear to weigh between 32-40 lbs. SCS wheels are considerably less weight. You stated you cannot justify the price but are you comparing wheels with similar offerings? If so than pleae provide link to wheels with same size and weight to scs.

 

Go for it. The market offers different options for all of the reasons you've listed. Lets all agree that this side of the market is not for you. For all the people who choose to think otherwise, we're gonna continue to buy overpriced blemished wheels.

 

Here's the thing with SCS blems.

You know your buying a blem.

With mine I had to look real hard to find the blem.
How many time have you paid full price for something, open the box and found a flaw. Knowing that it would be too difficult to return it, so you accept it.

Hat's off to Vin and SCS Wheels to knock a few dollars off their product and being honest about a minor blem.

Are those flow formed? How much they weigh? Why you in here bashing price of this vendor who is extremely popular in the Toyota community? Majority of us believe these wheels are fairly priced. Why don’t you go spam a thread on Volks or something.

I know it says cosmetic flaws, but are any of the "minor casting flaws" potentially detrimental to structural integrity and safety? Estimated shipping for Raleigh, NC for 4 wheels?

 

Says structural warranty still remains...I also highly doubt any wheel company would sell (or at least admit to) any wheels that could be comprised structurally. Refurb or not...

 

Yeah you’re right, most companies don’t want to sell you stuff you don’t need and that may actually be detrimental to your health... Just doing my job by asking. Appreciate the response.

 

We would never sell any wheels where we knowing know that the structural integrity has been compromised. Any wheel that falls into that category would be destroyed right away and recycled.
